Filmbar and RPC's screening of Wim Wenders' "Perfect Days" (2023) at the Research and Publication Centre (RPC) on Friday, April 18, 2025 at 6:00 pm.
"Perfect Days" is the story of Hirayama, a man who cleans public toilets in Tokyo. He lives a simple life with a focus on finding tranquillity in his daily tasks, but even a simple life has its pressures and complexities that create poignant moments of self-reflection as he experiences the joy and pain that come with the consequences of his choices. Outside of his structured routine, he cherishes music on cassette tapes, books, and taking photos of trees. Through unexpected encounters, he reflects on finding beauty in the world. The visual elements of the film are poetic in how they are filmed from the angles to the objects and locations.
Address: Research and Publication Centre (RPC), 2nd Floor, 65 Main Boulevard Gulberg, Lahore (Next to Standard Chartered Bank, above Indesign Showroom).
Lift is functional.
The screening will be followed by an informal discussion. All friends are welcome. Tea will be served.
